Hardly any format has surprised the TV scene like the „ NoNameProgram“ conceived by David Schalko and Fred Schreiber. In 2002 an essayistic, zeitgeisty piece of prose, recited in a most unconventional manner, illustrated with hundreds of archive pictures caused the audience for the first time to sink into a vortex of pictures, thoughts and associations. One has almost the feeling that back then the format already anticipated the nowadays common reception of media content in its details that we are used by now from socialmedia–sites on the internet.
10 years after its first-time and 5 years after its last-time broadcast the Sendung ohne Namen returns into the program of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation within the “DIE.NACHT”. From the former makers, in a timeless format, but naturally with new content. A program which offers what many fans of cultural television have already believed lost to entertainment: attitude.
